George L Forrest is a retired attorney, former probate judge, artist, poet, and World War II veteran whose lifetime of public service and storytelling has shaped a remarkable writing career. A graduate of Ohio Northern University College of Law, Forrest was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1954 and spent decades practicing law before serving as a probate judge. His firsthand experience in courtrooms, combined with his deep understanding of people and justice, lends authenticity to his legal fiction.
Beyond the courtroom, Forrest has long been devoted to the arts. An accomplished painter and published poet, he brings the same thoughtful observation and compassion to his novels that have characterized his life’s work. As the last surviving World War II veteran in Paulding County, Ohio, his experiences span an extraordinary period of American history and continue to inspire his writing.

In upcoming release Lee’s Expectation, Forrest weaves legal drama, mystery, and romance into a compelling story of family, integrity, and redemption. Drawing on decades of legal experience, he creates believable courtroom scenes and memorable characters while exploring the enduring values of justice, faith, and perseverance. Another 2026 release includes Top of the Mountain, to add to his collection of poetry offerings.
George Forrest resides in Antwerp, Ohio, where he continues to write and pursue his artistic interests.
